Timer applications: kitchens, rooms, panels and outdoors

Timers are used in kitchens, classrooms, gyms, panels, gardens and pools. This guide surveys the uses across the timer line.

Kitchens and rooms

Kitchen timers serve cooking. Classroom and gym clocks serve groups reading a large display. Light timers serve homes and shops that want lights on a schedule. Each use has its own guide page on this site.

Panels, gardens and pools

Electrician timers and timer relays serve panels and control boxes. Outdoor timers serve gardens and landscape lighting. Pool timers serve pool pumps and filtration. The difference between these uses is the environment: a kitchen timer would not survive a garden, and a panel timer is not a household gadget.

What this overview does not do

This overview adds no new product claims. It organises the timer uses already described in the type guides.
